White House Officials Desperate To Rally Media To Bidens Defense

The pressure is on at the White House as Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy (CA-20) announced on Tuesday that he is greenlighting a formal impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden:

“I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Over the past several months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct-a culture of corruption.”

Since that announcement, White House spokesperson, Ian Sams sent out a memo to editorial leadership at U.S news media organizations titled: “It’s Time For The Media To Do More To Scrutinize House Republicans' Demonstrably False Claims That They’re Basing Impeachment Stunts On”.

The memo then goes on to claim that House Republicans have no evidence against President Biden:

“After nearly 9 months of investigating, House Republicans haven’t been able to turn up any evidence of the President doing anything wrong. But House Republicans led by Marjorie Taylor Greene are nonetheless opening a baseless impeachment inquiry of President Biden – despite many House Republicans openly admitting there is no evidence on which to support it. Impeachment is grave, rare, and historic. The Constitution requires “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

This claim runs contrary to a letter that Speaker McCarthy sent to House Republicans regarding the impeachment evidence. According the letter:

“Through our investigations, we have found that President Biden lied to the American people about knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings.

Eyewitness testimony revealed that the President joined multiple phone calls and had various interactions with his son’s business partners. For example, Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner, testified that Joe Biden spoke or met with Hunter Biden’s business associates around 20 times, and that after meeting with President Biden, foreign nationals sent Hunter Biden millions of dollars, and bought him a Porsche.

Bank records show that nearly $20 million in payments were directed to Biden family members and associates through numerous shell companies. The Treasury Department has more than 150 transactions involving the Biden family and their business associates that were flagged as “suspicious activity” by U.S banks.”

The letter continues by mentioning a trusted FBI informant who alleged that the Biden family received bribes, and IRS whistleblowers who claim that there have been purposeful hold ups with the case against the President’s son, Hunter Biden.
