The New Mexico Alliance for Life recently discovered that a taxpayer-funded abortion hotline is actively referring women to The Satanic Temple Health (TST Health). The hotline was created by the pro-abortion governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan-Grisham. Governor Lujan-Grisham announced the abortion hotline earlier this month. During the state legislative session, she also allocated $10 million in taxpayer dollars to fund an abortion center in Doña Ana County.

The Executive Director for the New Mexico Alliance for Life, Elisa Martinez, expressed her disappoint in Governor Lujan-Grisham’s program:

“Why are taxpayers of New Mexico forced to promote the satanic temple religious abortion center through the pro-abortion governor’s hotline,” said Elisa Martinez, New Mexico Alliance for Life executive director. “Is the state of New Mexico fully disclosing to women that “TST Health” is a satanic ritualistic abortion center and that abortion is not a life-saving procedure that it involves the ending of an innocent human life?”

According to TST Health, “TST Health is a collaborative of reproductive rights advocates and abortion care providers contracted and directed by The Satanic Temple to advance its Reproductive Religious Rights Campaign. TST Health seeks to expand access to medical abortions and TST's abortion ritual.” The website goes even further by describing “abortion rituals:

“The Abortion Ritual serves as a protective rite. Its purpose is to cast off unwanted feelings that a patient may be experiencing due to choosing to have a legal and medically safe abortion. This ritual is designed to alleviate stressors and empower the patient to be guided by The Satanic Temple's Third and Fifth Tenets when pursuing their decision. The ritual serves to assist in affirming their decision and to ward off the effects of unjust persecution, which can cause one to stray from the paths of scientific reasoning and free will that TST Members strive to embody.

The ritual consists solely of spoken words. TST’s abortion ritual is exclusively verbal. It is meant to provide vocal affirmation and comfort for those obtaining an abortion. The oral ritual includes the recitation of The Satanic Temple's Third and Fifth tenets.”

TST Health also states on their website that “As long as you participate in TST’s religious abortion ritual, we serve everyone medically and legally eligible, regardless of their religious affiliation.”

The Satanic Temple Health is unashamedly encouraging women to kill their preborn children in a ritualistic sacrifice through the assistance of the New Mexico taxpayers. Christians and those of other anti-abortion religions, are being forced by the state to pay for these abortion referrals.
