Hunter Biden’s former best friend and business partner in Ukraine, Devon Archer, will be testifying under oath to Congress this week regarding President Joe Biden's involvement in his son’s business dealings during his time as Vice President (2009-2017).

The House Oversight Committee issued a subpoena to Devon Archer and he is expected to testify as early as Thursday. According to the House Oversight Committee website, “House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) issued the following statement about then-Vice President Joe Biden attending dinners and speaking by phone with Hunter Biden’s foreign business associates: “Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings. Evidence continues to be revealed that Joe Biden was very much involved in his family’s corrupt influence peddling schemes and he likely benefited financially. This includes deals with a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch and a CCP-linked energy company that generated millions for the Bidens and undermined American interests.

“It certainly appears that Joe Biden and his family put themselves first and Americans last, but corporate media and the Justice Department continue to cover up for the Bidens. The Oversight Committee will continue to follow the facts to provide the transparency and accountability that the American people demand and deserve. We look forward to speaking soon with Devon Archer about Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s business affairs.”

Archer’s testimony before Congress is expected to be regarding the various business meetings he witnessed where both Biden family members were present. His testimony is expected to provide further evidence that President Joe Biden lied to the American People during his campaign and afterwards, when he claimed that he was never involved in Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

The potential findings from the House Oversight Committee are also expected to shed more light on potentially problematic aspects of Joe Biden’s time as Vice President. One example being that Joe Biden has previously bragged in 2018 about how he threatened to withhold aid from Ukraine if Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin did not get fired.

At the time, Shokin had been investigating Ukrainian energy company Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky for corruption. Zlochevsky had many business dealings with Hunter Biden, which would’ve made the firing of Shokin a severe conflict of interest for the former Vice President. At the time, Hunter Biden was also on Burisma’s payroll, serving as a company director.
